Howdy Folks, I am having an issue with the missus 04 Focus. Sometimes it will not start, turn the key and nothing happens, no click, the lights don't dim at all, just nothing. I know the battery is fine and the battery terminals are clean and tight. Usually if it just sits for a while (1/2 hour) it will start fine. It is very random, the car gets used several times a day and this only happens once a month or so. Any suggestions? other than this problem it runs really well.
Cheers Ed |

Sounds more like something with the ignition barrel. I've not heard of it with Focus particularly but if it gets started multiple times a day that is probably contributing.
Having said that, it should gradually get worse if that is the cause. Cheers Russ

Thank you very much for the advice guys, Makes it really difficult to diagnose when it is so intermittent but yes i am also thinking ignition switch issues.
Maybe i should wire in the spare starter button i have for my BA-GT (or not) Cheers Ed Last edited by zeuss000; 20-08-2017 at 12:38 PM. Reason: sp |
