Default au fairmont

Hi I have an AU II Fairmont and im having trouble with the interior lights staying on perminanly, had to take all the light bulbs out, any answers?

You have tried switching them 'off' using the sliding switch next to the headlight control ??

Check under the front seats to see if the cable coming out from under the carpet in the centre hasn't got caught on the seat slides.This problem will cause a short.I think its the cable that supplies the courtesy light at the back of the centre console
