can anyone give me some advice why my remote sometimes works and sometimes dosent even with a new battery.sometimes you can hold the buttons down and the red light wont flash and other times will. thanks

What I did with mine(EL but i'm going to assume they're similar) is fold up abit of paper or cardboard into a small square and stick it behind the positive terminal to make sure the battery stays secure againts the terminal.
Contact points could also be dirty so a rub with a cotton bud dipped in metho(or even just a dry cotton bud) will clean any built up grime off. Another thing you can do is fold up a some paper or cardboard into a small square and place it underneath the buttons to make pressing/contact abit easier. All these things helped me with the reliability of my smart lock remotes, hope it can be of help to you.

you can solder the battery contact back in. Ive done it dozens of times. Ive even replaced faulty switches.

you need an iron with a fine tip, so you can get it between the battery carrier and the pcb.
if you think its too hard, post it up to me and I'll do it for you.

i have a new remote for my ute, turn acc press demister 3 times doors wont acuate, any ideas, i have done this many times as well with nothing,
