Default 05 Fiesta exhaust manifold/catalytic converter

Hi any one had to replace one of these. Ford dealer says $1700. Would Extractors and sports system solve this problem?Or do you know of after market parts.

sorry if this has been posted before.

If it is the cat that has collapsed then you should replace it with the same cat but if you wnt a sports system just remember that the cat must remai in the exact same position with at least the same rating. Some of the european after market stuff moves the cat position. A 2n hand unit from a wreckers might be the cheapest option

Have one in Adelaide. $250 Can it be fitted in the garage or does it need to be on a hoist?

should be easy enough to fit in the garage just with a jack and axle stands but and exhaust place would probably do it in 5 minutes and maybe $40 just comes in easier with gaskets and stuff

These motors have an inbuilt header and cat, that is why they are so expensive....
