Default Aussie Muscle Cars sale site

Has anybody delt with Aussie Muscle Cars?

They want a $1400 deposit to go look at a $25k car. I've never heard that before! Whilst it's a lot of cash I'd still be willing to pay (cos I'm serious) but just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them (good or bad)

how does that work? do they refund if you don't like the car? is it like a down payment; although it's just a look. what is the 1400 actually for?

$1400 is a "holding deposit". Yes you do get a full refund if you dont buy the car. I'm curious if there are any catches....

the cars are probably on consignment... a $1400 deposit would certainly lose a lot of the 'time wasters'. The owners of these cars wouldnt want joy riders coming to look, and neither would the salesmen.

Remember: Money talks!

It should be like 5% rather than a fixed ammount, what if your looking at a $5000 car?

That site and the magazine with a similar name are at least partly responsible for all the hype that has pushed these "muscle cars" out of reach of most people.

Yes l have dealt with them no problems. The $1400 is their commision so if you proceed with the sale they dont get swindled out of their cut. It helps to sort the serious buyers but no doubt also puts off a few.

l have coughed up the 5% a few times to talk with the owners of cars and got my money back shortly after. They are always prompt to return your coin.

I've heard good and bad reports.

Some say they put ya car up for sale, doesn't sell, then they try to buy it cheap for themselfs.

Also try to view a car, and tell you its no longer forsale..still on web site 4months later..Mate wanted an advertised Country car,XBGT, Orange low km's.. rang up about 20 times.. Never even given the chance to give a $1400 deposit.

Been called a "search engine", so they get first pick of the true muscle cars.

But if they are getting these crazy $$$$ they must be doing something right.

Those lads,(AMCS) have a MAD collection of cars

Overpriced with anything Chrysler and I don't think one has ever sold for the advertised price.........

AND they don't know much about the Chrysler Product plus also do some false advertising on their descriptions

I am unsure if the owners tell them the description and they just add it though.......
