I think she means it's a little uncivilised compared to a European sports sedan, but regardless it still goes like the clappers.

And goes to show why I find Fifth Gear so bland and Top Gear so entertaining. Compare her review to Clarkson's review of the GTO. Night and day.

When will we ever be taken seriously if a top tier VE still can't be acknowledged as a good car?

Not bad, but I'd rather rip it up in a Calais V V8.

I think they really liked it, if they acknowledged the VE having finesse + power how could the euro's compete ! Go Aussie i say.

Mate, he has got an opinion........Quite clearly, so do you. And I'm not telling you to go to your small small world.

My olds own a 530i, and has ten times the finesse of a HSV and my BF F6. Then we go to a drag strip, and see ya Bima.

True, and I was a bit harsh. But have any of these fly boys driven a new falcon? Or are they just quoting an "expert"?

The Falc' and Commo have traits that are equal, if not better than other brands, not all is bad. Let Ford/Holden spend the same amount in development that the big boys do and see what happens.

For the $$$ nothing comes close.

If you have the cash to spend $80k+ on a standardish BMW etc got for it, ill take a GT/R8 thanks!

I think that is the point she was making, performance wise.

But honestly, if you could get a 530i for the price of a R8 or GT-P in Aus, my loyality would probably stray.

Then after 3 months, I;d be back!

Not a bad review... except I personnaly would of liked to see a bloke driving it... just my likings though...

Does that mean that the VXR8 only has 5 gears? Not the 6 speed?

Thank you Vauxhaul for building this car? They didn't, Holden did...

Yeah Great Car! However.... the F6 was doing the same thing 3 years ago. I cant believe how much of an underrated car it is. Wait till the next model comes out. R8 4.9 secs manual. 5.4 secs auto. 3years ago F6 5.4sec manual. Tell me what the next gen FPV will be like??? The ride, poise, handling and chassis is still better in a FPV over a HSV now!

And as for Vikki.... Well she is my absolute dream girl. Yeah 5th gear is shite except for her. Much rather Top Gear any day, But as for sideways action, give me Vikki anyday... What a beauty...

And that is why I prefer TopGear.

Lame review, and inacurate.

You're crazy, the only way to make that clip any better is if it was a GT and she did it nude.

Good report for HSV though, great to see the local boys get some praise.

There's an article about the VXR8 in Wheels Magazine July '07 issue. The motor journalists from UK seems to like the car. It's far more thorough review than fifth gear.

Ive never seen Fifth Gear but if that clip is a guage of the rest of the show then i'm not sad to miss it. Two things wouldve made it better-

1/ Elizabeth Hurley doing the driving and talking
2/ Nurburgring
