Saw 'Menace' in the Flesh Today......

Actually had a drive of an XR6T in Menace, dealers wanted to gauge public reaction to the colour.

Let me say straight out, it is the ugliest colour I have ever seen on a Falcon in my entire life. This thing beats XD Two Tone Brown in the ugly stakes. It looks like somebody has painted the whole car with purple lipstick.

I realise you'll all be asking for pics but as i didnt have my cam with me (wasnt expecting to see it let alone drive it) i havent got any, if I can I will get some tomorrow.

But deadset, if you order this colour you've got gender AND sexuality issues.

What shade of colour is it. There was a ugly metalliac brown colour on the AU2's. Is it as bad as that.

Yeah John Im wanting to see Toxic too, as far as i know they dont have any on the way yet. Was very surprised to see the Menace T there today.

It's a lot deeper in colour than it looks on the FPV website, the best way to describe it is a Metallic purple with a fair bit of pink mixed in, really does look like a shade of lipstick lol.

dunno if you have the purple cadbury schweppes sales reps commodores in the eastern states but its very similar to that.. very ugly!!

It's more of a Magenta colour, not really purple.

Yeah we got em here too. Seen a few without all the Cadbury signage on it aswell. IMO it doesnt look too bad, but not a colour I'd particulary like.

It looks simular to the Hyundi bellflower blue of the 90's. A colour my son painted his old cortina he had.

Thanks Dean, Ill still get some pics of an actual car in it though. Hopefully I'll be able to put it next to a Phantom XR so you can do a comparison.

I think many of you maybe surprised how popular this colour may become, once the inital shock has worn off. A large amount of XR6(N/A) & SV6 buyers are female which I would bet that's what Ford are targeting. I actually imagine the colour will become quite popular. As for my thoughts? It's not quite my taste but my partner has already stated that she really likes it so far.

Quite possible CDAA, I know that the dealership here is having problems with this particular XR6T due to it being Menace in colour - buyer ordered it, has now seen it in the flesh and decided he doesnt want it!

I was going to ask if it was that colour ... and I know what colour your mean ... I have seen so many of those Commodores running around.

Allow me to present a Menace MkII XR6T. As you can see, a LOT different to the swatch on the FPV site. Im told the stripe combos for FPVs in this colour are white or Silver.

Holy Sh!t, It's pink.
I like it, wouldn't buy it but it's quite cool.
It would brighten up the road a bit.
Not sure it would suit a GT though.

It reminds me of Mulberry from the XB series. I really like Mulberry as a colour and would be interested in seeing this in the flesh.
I think it would need a white interior though.

Maybe one for the ladies though. This colour from the pics looks more feminine than Mulberry did.

I saw an XR8 ute in Menace an hour ago. It looked , errrm, different. Must say it stands out and actually looks good on the road. I thought it was a custom paint job at first. I dont mind it...but then, thats me...and I do drive a Phantom T (which is still THE best colour ever released)

Well that paint job looks fantastic! Very nice pearl effects. I tend to agree with others though, the metallic looks great and makes a great impression, but I think this is one for the ladies

There are other colours I personally would choose 1st. But I must say it stands out and thats what a performance car should do. I give it the thumbs up not as bad as what I was picturing.
