Default water in fuel tank

hi i got a ed with missing problems ,it will idle for hours parked on the level it will rev up slight miss,but park the car with the left hand side of the on a angle the fuel tank outlet is on the left ok leave ideling for 5 minutes jump in and rev off or try to ,the miss is one hell of a rough put your foot down and it just coughs it wont behave well at all ,would i be rigth that if the tanks has some water in then parked on the angle it will suck the water first it being heavier than fuel,it takes a long time after doing that i suppose the water gets in the filter ,anybady else had trouble

Try adding some metho to tank.. Other than that drop tank and clean..Then replace fuel filters...Graeme....

Haha I got water in my tank to, it seems now I have to go the whole hog

Fuel Tank, Pump, Filter and Injectors!

spot on there my friend. works a treat, metho is nearly pure ethanol, it will raise combustion in the petrol. works well in lawn mowers aswell.

you dont need to drop the tank - you can just drain it out from the access to the tank in the boot.
I had to do that once in my EA (stale fuel), and once in my XR (the only time I ever used caltex vortex).

Not too hard to do, just really smelly.

yes i have only had 3 full tanks of caltex vortex and presto i have this problem.i only pick it might be water cause when i visited gympie the other day it is all hills and hey the bloody car would hardly climb the hill floor the pedal and it just died
