Default Where to get cheap K&N air filters

Got quoted $150 from Repco today for my EF 5L Fairmont, surely there is cheaper out there?

How much did others pay?

Have a look on ebay.

I gave one away a few weeks ago to the guy next door for his AU XR8.

IIRC I paid around $108 at Supercheap when they were on sale.

That's more what I expected.

Quite a joke, he told me repco branded for $15 or K&N for $150...

Mate just keep an eye on the for sale section on here. I picked one up for my Turbo for around $30, just needed a clean.

Also do a search on Ebay for them.

Cleaning kit costs about 20 bucks and will give you quite a few cleans.

Thing is every oil change, while waiting for the oil to drain I would pull the air filter out, give it a spray with the cleaner, spray out with the hose, let it dry and then re-oil it. I guess it is better than leaving it want swaping the paper one every 30,000 k's.

Just made life a little easier I guess.

Not sure how many RWKW you gain from them

Are you wanting the panel one or pod? I will probably be having a K&N pod up for sale possibly this week if it turns up (got it with an airbox). Its only done about 2000km but I already have the same one so dont need it

Fram does an 'AirHog' filter to suit, I got one of those for about $40 bucks less than a K&N.

Auto one RRP is $99.95, I got mine for $90.

Definitely going there more often instead of supercheap/autobarn/repco now!
