I can FINALLY confirm we have a club display at Phillip Island for the V8 Supercars on Sunday December 2nd. We are back in our 2005 position, which is the last turn coming onto the front straight (ie as soon as you drive in the main gate)
We have to go in as one group, so meeting on time is a MUST. There will be a meeting point on the island for those staying down there for the weekend. When: Sunday 2nd December. Where: Settlement Hotel, Sth Gippsland Hwy Cranbourne Time: Departure is 7am - DO NOT BE LATE!!!!!! Again there is a $10 charge to park inside the circuit. This is stipulated by the circuit and not something being done by the club. THE CLUB IS PAYING THIS FEE FOR ALL CLUB MEMBERS. For those planning on coming on Sunday only,we have been offered a 10% discount on tickets. All other tickets you will need to purchase yourself. All monies MUST be paid by the November meeting - no exceptions. To put your name down for the display or to arrange tickets, contact me Go Baby Go via email, pm or 0403 537 116.

Thanks in advance for looking after our Clubbies that are going down to PI for the round. I will be stuck at work but Andrew (one of Events Team) will lead the crew down. Have a great weekend and after today it should be a nail biter. Again many thanks from The XR6 & XR8 Club of Qld.
Cheers, Ken Club President

For everyone that is heading to the Island on the weekend, keep an eye out for the Drivers Parade. We've got 8 members of the club lending their Utes' services this year : .
We'll all be together on the inside of the circuit, near the walk-over bridge from 7:30am onwards before moving out for the Parade will be on track around 10 to 10:30am mark on the Sunday.....

It's all ready and "I'm excited" as Big Kev used to say .... I am 35 and this will be my first real V8's event .... 1992 I was at the Adelaide GP, but they were racing them little Ford Sierra's back then ...... :
