I like the colour. Wonder if the wheels would go on a WQ?

looks like the wheels are an XR5 throwback.

The first pic - the back looks like an Astra or Mazda........

Whilst I don't mind it, it looks too much like everything else out there at the moment so i'll keep my fez me thinks....................

'Generic' is the word that comes to mind, could be a Mazda2 , could be an..ummm.... Yaris. Makes me limp. I much prefer the boxy shape of my Fez.

from 50 metres away it could be any number of cars...close up the design follows current trends and is therefore 'safe'. Personally I don't think it is individual enough

It looks quite good. I'm glad a few people on this forum are disappointed with the styling, because quite frankly if Ford used this forum as a sample of the Fiesta's target market, then we would end up with another boring, staid looking Fiesta.

I think it will be a hit in Europe and just about everywhere else where it will be sold.

BTW if you think the Mazda2 looks the same as the Fiesta, then you need your eyes checked.

I'm inclined to agree, people who are in the market for a Fiesta don't tend to frequent forums like these anyway.

That isn't to say I wouldn't like to see what the RS/XR4 model would look like!

You don't think you could whip something up could you?

When I find my crayons and some free time I will. Actually coming to think of it, I can't say that I've seen any sport variant CGI's of the new Fiesta, so hopefully I'll be one of the first to come up with one.

Well I guess two bad eyes trumps half a brain.
It looks like the 2 because it is the same basic car. They are both built on the B2xx platform. In fact, we might well find our next Fiestas being built alongside their Mazda cousins and sharing even more in common.
That our current Fiesta comes from Germany probably has a lot to do with Mazda’s previous 2 being butt ugly. The AUD has gained tremendous ground against the Yen, making Japanese cars attractive again.
