Red face A Minutes’ Silence, Please

I hear the fire crews sent out an urgent call for “more Coke”.

Fishing will be popular, all you will need is a scoop net and it's already marinated....

Runoff liquor was seeping into the nearby Kentucky River, causing concern it would kill fish.

My thoughts, too.

Possibly the only case of fish leaning into the boat to be sick, rather than vice-versa.

Beam addicts will be rushing to liquor stores buying what they can in fear of a Beam shortage.

Will we see Beam rationing?

"Sniff the cap and pass it along".

They'll recoup their losses with an up-spec commemorative release called something like "Black Wednesday Blend" and append a fractional cent donation to the local firefighters' association.

I only use things like this in food, but it's a real shame to see a globally famous product going uncontrollably to waste.

Should be some good work for coopers in the short term.

Bloomberg reported that the destroyed whiskey — which amounted to about 1 per cent of Jim Beam's bourbon inventory — could be worth up to $US300 million ($425 million).
Does that make JB a $30 Billion company??

You would think with the value of product talked about how can a fire start and spread so fast? Wouldn't they have the best systems in place in place to stop that?

I would have thought so too. But i think they said it was a lightning strike that started it. Could that have fried the fire suppression system?
