Blocked fuel filter. Also check the filter in the tank. If it's not that the pump maybe giving up the ghost. Do you run it very low on fuel?

Something else I've seen with the Ford 4.0 is plug leads go bad. My EL and a mates EL turned into 4cyls when the leads went.

As I posted in your other thread which was pretty much the exact same topic :P - Maybe a sticky injector, check your spark leads as well (sounds basic, but can happen when one's half off), as well as checking your timing

yea cheers volcom20

ill check out leads, and investigate the injectors 2morw, fuel i think is fine, very sure theres plenty gettin in, before i changed the motor over, i had a smaller fuel regulator on, and it was chocking, after i replaced it wit the proper one, id returned to normal as well, i didnt have any issues with exhusts then

Ah, sorry, I just completely overlooked something.

Try kicking the car over, and letting it idle, and lie under the boot of the car, and hit the petrol tank about 8 times (Good solid thumps)

Same thing happened in my EL when the fuel pump was on the way out.

Fuel filter is another posible cause, but try thumping it bottem of the petrol tank, then giving it a rev.

Had a similar thing on the missus EF 5.0ltr, was an air/fuel sensor or something. Couldn't accelerate with any more than a little throttle, shook all over the place & blew a lot of weed out the pipes.

Oooh, was a couple of years ago! From memory, it cost about $350 to get it sorted. They just changed the sensor and it was brand new again. If I can find the invoice, I'll be able to give you a better idea.

cars back to normaly again, went over a few things again, the pvc valve we thought was cloked or just gone, replaced that but still rang like :P, next checked out injectors again, i took it to mechanic, and said sounds like spark, then checked my water and said might even be a gasket, recons the water has dropped qwiet a bit :S thats when i saw my wallet fly away :P

....but when down, bought some NGK R spark plugs, fixed it started up good again, and ran alot better to if not a bit better then b4, i didnt change them when i chucked the motor in, they seemed fine, but when i pulled em out, they looked kinda cruddy :P

i also checked out this water droppin, it didnt drop :S sittin like it always has :S but to sure i guess ill flush it all

problem solved :d thanks for the help fellas

This would still be bit of a concern. Have you performed since replacing your spark plugs? Could just be a temporary fix... then again could be nothing. Worth checking out though - get a compression test done

Cheers
