Default Can you adjust EDIS ignition timing with EEC-V

Can anyone tell me if you can adjust the position of the unit that replaces the dizzy on the electronic models.
Mine seems to have a locking tab in the hold down plate that doesn't allow it to be turned when tightened. Also "Caution-Not adjustable" is written on the top of it.

The timing is out by about 40 to 50 degrees when checked with a timing light and the two pins earthed.
It seems to right ok, just misses and farts when its cold.

Is there another way of adjusting the timing on these models as i have heard that you can and can't.

Any help would be great, Thanx!

i'm fairly sure the EF only uses the crank angle sensor on the front of the engine, sure the balancer hasnt slipped?
if the timing was out by that much, i very much doubt it'd run.

That was rough guess buts it definately more than 20 - 30 degrees.

So it can be adjusted.

I agree with EFfalcon in that your balancer has probably slipped...
