Thumbs up 3.9 CFI -> AU 4.0

Hi everyone,

Forgive me if I am rehashing old questions here, as I am new to this forum. I have a 12/89 EAII S-pac with the CFI 3.9L engine and was wondering what would be involved in swapping it for a later, AU-series 4.0L donk? Is this worthwhile, or am I better off fitting a late model E-series engine? I bought the car in April with 146k on the clock, and the engine itself is in pretty good shape, but I am not a fan of the CFI aspect and would rather a proper EFI system running. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys. :yeees:

i'd just do an MPFI conversion on the current motor as its in good running order with relatively low k's (for an ea).

is it an auto or manual?

quite a few people on here have done the conversion so someone will be able to fill you in on that.
i've only done the mpfi manifold-->EL BBM conversion, when i fitted the au motor to my EB2.

oh and welcome to the forums, where abouts are you located?
Phil
