Default Custom (turbo) EF at a great price...

Check this out...

1996 EF II Futura
5-speed
TURBOCHARGED
custom paint
custom interior
etc, etc..
167,000km

at a great price of $10,500...

http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsa...ch_distance=25

If i didnt mind being pulled over by the cops every other day, i would seriously consider getting it.

However, just saw that it doesn't come with RWC.... hmmmm.

There would have to be something seriously wrong with it for it to be at that price with all the custom stuff, or XR6's are way over priced.

Either that or the owner realises it is damn ugly!

He used to be a member of ff.com. But since then, he's done the whole kit and interior upgrade.

It looks alright.

Wouldn't look half bad without the kit and with a set of GT-P wheels. Probably could make back a couple of grand from selling the kit and wheels as well. Am I the only one that thinks those wheels look kind of like VZ SS wheels?

I wonder if the door jambs are painted. Looks pretty hack..

" to be sold as is cond ", what else could he add to it? Or what's been done to it? It sounds a bit suss to me.

For all the work done to it - Paint job, turbo, it being a manual and for having less that average Km's on the clock - I'd surely sell it for more.

I'd run through this one with a fine tooth comb if I was looking at it :

Someone should check it out, pretend to be a potential buyer and see what the deal is?

Apparantly he lost his licence, and just wants to do up a Silvia or 180sx. But before you check it out, I'd check out the old posts on ff.com about his turbo problems, get a mechanic to check it out. Especially the gearbox and the diff. He's running 13psi with stock internals, so you might wanna get some better internals in there. Also he had problems with the fuel system. So you'll need to change the fuel system, and get a better pump etc in there. And larger injectors. With that and a good tune from whatever computer it's running, it should be able to rev higher, and should get up to 200-250rwkw.

outside looks pretty good imho as does the interior if you put some good seats into it and get rid of the while dials and hidious steering wheel.

Motor wise I'd sell it for what ever i could get and do a v8 conversion or 240T conversion.

I'd say the engine is close to dead and probally the rest of the drivline as well

This car was at springnats, the turbo setup wasnt the best. It was a nissan turbo so probably a bit small, non intercooled using a factory falcon intake/crossover pipe thingy.
It looked great and would be a good head turner. I reckon it is so cheap cos it wont pass a rwc with the turbo gear. I would buy it return it to stock then wack my turbo gear on it if I wanted to look bling. But I like my sleeper.

He probably copped a canary at SpringNats lol, and hasn't been able to get a RW. I remember seeing some of Doug's pics of it now from the Nats, the turbo setup looked pretty hack as well.

RW's aren't hard to get if you know how to speak to your local licensed RW tester ;)

He was trying to sell it long ago before the kit went on.
I'd say thats mainly the reason for the price.
too much trouble unless u wanna change the driveline :P

I don't mind the body kit itself, but the colour and that interior really don't appeal to me.

Haha forgot about this car. Not a fan of that interior...some black leather/velour would change it heaps. Whoever thought blue/white goes with greeny gold was colour-blind :P

I wanna see it in action! Sounds like it can mooove.
