What Variant/badge? Sport What series? LWMKII What transmission? Manual and of course, how many km's did it run? 82K Best Ford I have own - still trying to decide what tyres - OEMs should make it to 90K. Interior starting to rattle slightly would be my only gripe. Love the Manual. |

Body: Hatch Series: S Trans: Powershift Kms: 24,000 Probs: None, other than a strange resonance that has started to occur at just over 2200 rpm. Still I worry about the longevity of the transmission and the huge cost if something does go wrong outside warranty. |

What year it is? 2002
What Variant/badge? CL Sedan What series? LR What transmission? Auto KM's? 183,000 Bought second had from a dealer in 2005 with 42,000 on the clock. Work other than consumables: 67,000 - replace HT leads 93,000 - replace alternator 101,000 - replace fan speed resistor 116,000 - servo broke and small metal pieces in auto trans, causing error code. servo replaced. 128,000 - timing belt replaced. leaking rocker cover gasket and leaking camshaft seals replaced. cracked thermostat housing replaced. 167,000 - power steering pump leaking - overhauled. leaking coolant - replaced coolant reservoir. air con gone - compressor cracked - hasn't been replaced due to cost. 172,000 - breakdown, loss of power. fuel pump replaced. 172,000 - breakdown, wouldn't start. starter motor replaced. 174,000 - failed rego inspection. vacuum hose replaced. 178,000 - breakdown, wouldn't start. fuel leak - lines replaced. 183,000 - cracked thermostat housing again, replaced. I've decided the most recent expense is the last, and yes, too late maybe. These days it's a second car and it's mostly used for getting to/from the train station. I'd be unlikely to buy ford again.
