Default Diesel battery specs

The wife's 2016 MD diesel has a flat battery.
Yesterday she came home and the alarm went off for no reason. Today the battery is flat with 10.46 volts at the terminal. Looks like I've got a dead cell.
Ford are useless as usual as the roadside assistance wasn't renewed by them on the last service.

What battery would you suggest. The current one is 175mm high but the Century Overlander DIN75LHD MF is 190mm high.
Any idea if it will fit with regards the height? Width and length are all ok
Thanks in advance.

What you need is Motorcraft/Century 106609 which is DIN75LMFEF. Sorry no idea of dimensions.

Thanks GT Legend. The size is right but not stocked by Supercheap etc.
We need to use the car tomorrow so unfortunately it looks like RACV batteries. Hope I get a good one.
Cheers

The diesel battery mentioned is the same as start stop vehicles even if it does not have start/stop and that is what is listed for MD Mondeo diesel, so make sure you get one that suits start/stop vehicles.

Apparently there are 2 types. Glass mat or ELB and the car has to be programmed to the right one or else you'll kill it in 12 months. Got onto Battery World in Greensborough, Vic. He knew exactly what was needed so I'm going there tomorrow at 10 when they open for a new one. Lucky I've got the ELB at $480. The glass mat was $600. Its the original Ford battery so 5 years isn't too bad......although I got 7 1/2 from a Varta in the wife's VW Jetta a few years ago. Replaced the battery and she write it off 3 months later. 2 days on new front pads and rotors...haha.

Wow that's expensive. The EFB Ford one 106609 is around $300.

Yeh that's life..

But it's Sunday, and we need the car. As Ned Kelly said, " Such is life."
I have no choice. I'm just pleased that my Amarok doesn't have stop/start. I told the dealers that I wouldn't buy one if it has stop/start....and it doesn't. I turn it off as soon as I get in the Mondeo. Just lucky it's mainly country driving in it.

Wow, those are expensive batteries. I thought $280 for a MB battery a few years ago was a bit much.

I remember having problems with battery height. The first one I bought was a DIN75 but it was about 15 mm too high to fit in the battery box.

Guessing without the part number provided, that would be the non start stop battery? Part number 115605?

There you go, the non stop start batteries are almost half the price of the stop start units.
