They're gunna need to start making bigger dyno's soon.

We used to chain trucks down after a rebuild when i finished my time at Cummins just down the road from the Broadmeadow's Ford factory and that was only 625 HP Signitures back then.

New Volvo's are pushing 700HP these days.

Geeeeeeeeezuz CHRIST!!

Well that’s sorted that. I’ll take 2 thanks.

That takes the cake that does. What a machine.

I just laughed when I saw the motor on the dyno vid.

The world is awesome

Wasn't there a similar story from a similar part of the world a couple of years ago, and the car was for show only? Had no working engine IIRC.

The Devel 16 I am guessing without even looking at the video.

Will be interesting to see it when it actually does it's top speed run .... seeing as the trim piece under the wiper nearly fell off when the guy was polishing the front of the vehicle in another vid on youtube.

Yeah I'm a bit dubaious.
Only 2yrs to develop a 4,500hp engine for a road car?
I wouldn't be putting my hand up for a test drive, lets see how long it takes for someone to die a fiery death in this thing.

Steve Morris builds some of the most powerful race engines in the world. That is the last thing I would be worried about.

I think the big issue with getting to that top speed will be tyres. They tend not to last very long at those sort of speeds.

And if the fuel tank is big enough, cause if the Veyron can drain it in 8 minutes this will probably drain it in 5.

At first glance i thought it looked like some obscure ww2 aircraft engine but a second look and i think its 2 v8s welded end to end.

Lol this isn't going into any car, the turbos are hanging two feet out past the exhaust manifold.

An Arab with access to daddy's credit card I think.

The wonders of a billet block.

I cringe at the thought of a single camshaft 8 cylinders long.

I don't think it's billet.

Why would you have a bore spacing like that?
It reminds me of the v16 ls3 that a couple of Aussies made in a backyard.

Different link but it appears to be two ls3s like I thought.

6.15x2 = 12.3 and low and behold we have a 12.3 litre engine. Surprise surprise.

The block is billet. Look at it closely. It has features not seen on a cast LS block...let me work out google a little bit.

That was quick.

Here is an interesting Road and Track article.

I can see why to keep many dimensions LS specific. Component availability.

Fair enough.

Still think it's a kid who stole daddy's credit card though. It will never work in a car, might go alright in a boat, but it would be insanely heavy.

For cost I will still go with the Aussies and their welder, still can't believe that bloody thing worked.
Floating somewhere around the world is a 24v gm two stroke. The things people do for giggles.

It definitely looks like something out of a race car or dragster but will it idle in traffic on 50C days in Dubai?
Hopefully someone does test it and we can find out if it is a dyno queen or the real deal.
