Hello, i was just wondering if there was a difference in lenght from EA-B-D throttle cables. or are they all the same? thanx alot for your help.

EB ED Multipoint throttle cables are definitly the same, dunno for sure about EA's but im pretty sure there are the same.

2 Throttle Cables;
1) EA,EB,ED with multipoint motors are all the same, 2) EA, EB sesriesI with CFI motors have a shorter throttle cable, Cheers Luke.

Throttle cables for MPFI are al lthe same, but the bracket on the throttle body is different between EA 3 speed and the other EA-ED's, for that matter the throttle body has slightly different connecting arm to throttle cable as well.

If all the cables for multi point are the same, then they changed the throttle body conection slightly, how would this matter, so any T/B wil fit on any manifold, with any cable, all being multi points of couse..(EA-D)

early EA's (with the 3 speed auto) had a differnt linkage because the 3 speed is a mechanical box, and has a kickdown cable wich attaches to the throttle body linkage.
later EA's (with the 4 speed auto) onwards had a tps (throtle position sensor) and no kickdown cable (as the box is electronic not mechanical) and thus why they have a different linkage |
