yep, but not as a daily driver. I have a black XR6 work ute, gave up washing it 2 years ago, 300,000Ks on it and still going strong.
Wife also has black territory witch she loves and washes every 3 days.

I will only own black cars. My XR6 might never be clean and have bad scratches but hey... Once you go black you never go back.. Even all my project cars, while they will begin a different colour, will end up black. Love black on cars..

For a daily? nope, too hard to keep looking black, mine used to end up gray overnight. then again if it lived undercover and came out on weekend? without a moments hesitation

I won't go hunting another one when the time comes but if the right car turns up and it happens to be black it won't bother me. They might not appear to stay clean for long but its not the end of the world and they do look pretty good.

This was covered in dust (it was the day i picked it up) when i took this pic. Even when they're filthy they still look good

I have a black car. Hate it. Add a completely black interior and leather and it's impossible to keep looking good.

The QLD sun turns it into oven.

there are some nice dark colors that look great even when they are not totally clean, and I think look more interesting anyway, so I probably wouldn't buy black.. but you know what they say, never say never.... get a cheap enough deal on a black one, I'd probably take it. Price being equal, I wouldn't.

I like the darker coloured cars, but my former black Typhoon was a PIA to keep clean.
I went the next best colour Ego, but still there is no better look than a clean and polished black car, although it will only last fro 10mins before it is dirty again.

I have a swipe card for the car wash down the road, and my monthly invoice is around $50 give or take.

That's $2 every day I use it to squirt off the dust, plus the proper driveway wash it gets every weekend.

And it isn't even black!

My next GT will be black though.

This is my first black car. Agree with all the comments about them looking great when polished. Looks woeful when dusty.

My next car will prob be a silver or charcoal, like that Ego colour on the Falcons.

I added another option to the poll, I had a Black XR8 before my current one which is Blue, and I refused to buy the FG in Black due to cleaning, but a GT etc I would probably make an exception.

Had a daily AU Ghia in black and boy was it a PITA to keep clean especially seeing that my car is parked next to a dirt yard, where trucks are in and out all day long....

However, with some quality washes, waxes & polishes it would look a million bucks....

Wouldn't own another black car if it were a daily... However a weekender i would (FPV or old school!)

I had 7 cars at 1 stage, 5 were black - weekends were a write off but I actually don't mind washing my own cars. Now I'm down to 5, 2 of which are black. Would I buy black again - for sure, yes they get dusty quick but nothing beats the look when they are clean and all gaps, shut lines, plastic bits just blend away.
