Default Final Details

Hi All,

All the final details for the All Ford Day can be found on the club website, under calendar.
http://www.fpvclub.com

It’s a 6 am start (yes its early) at liver pool street just near Warwick Farm Racecourse.

If you still wish to display, you have until 12pm today, (Saturday 30th July), please phone myself on 0438 549 018.
So far we have over 40 cars, and there are only a few spots left, so act quickly!
Anyone who intends to display and does not contact us before hand will not be allowed to join the display.

We will have Tea and Coffee available, Bacon and Egg Rolls, and soups, along with various other foods, and drinks for all members throughout the day. We ask that you please make a gold coin donation to cover the cost of this (it’s a lot cheaper than the vendors…)…

The club shade house will be erected for all to use, you will need to bring your own chairs, and card tables.

We will be entering cars to the display from 6:15 on wards. All cars will be entered to the race course in groups of 10 at a time.
Please be patient, to set the display up properly, it will take some of us a bit of time.

When your car is positioned and parked, it would be most appreciated if you hold off the final detailing of your car, and help us set up the stands, flags, rope (we are roping off ALL cars).

See you all there on the day.
Cheers
Ben

What can I say....? Well what a awesome turn out for the day, it was good to see evryone there today and display with the club.
It was also so much nicer weather this year than last year as a few of us would remember from last year. The display looked realy good and was a success, And I would like to thank everyone that helped out with the setting up and cleaning up at the end of it, thats what it is all about "Team Work" I also have to thank the girls for their cooking and cleaning all day for all to enjoy.
And also I would like to congratulate Jerry on taking out the best concourse car with his GT.

Thanks to all again
Stretch

I also would like to say a special thank you to a few people aswell, That would be Tracey and his lovely wife Heather aswell as Rod for making the new rope posts and bags for the day, they had come a treat and did the job very well. With people like this it is good to be apart of a club like ours.
So on Behalf of the club I thank the 3 of you guys very much.

Hello All,
Thanks to all who participated in Australia's largest Ford Show.
The display looked great.
Even got some positive comments from other clubs about the effort put into the set up.
Obviously the show is attracting more interest every year.
I got a message on the radio saying they ran out of room in the public parking at 10.30. Not bad to fill up the centre of a horse race track and some paddocks accross the road as well with the show only being open for 1.5 hours.

Well done to Gerry with his EBGT who won the "Concourse" trophy.
That's our 2nd win in two years, but there is no truth in the rumour that there will be pressure on next years car to take out the hat trick for us.

Special thanks to Ben and Scott who took care of the arrangements at short notice. I think those couple of extra Saturday mornings measuring and planning come off well.
Also thanks to Stretchy (aka Trailer Trash), Cara, Ailsa for their efforts in making the day pleasureable. If I have missed anybody my apologies it was all very much appreciated.
Also thanks must go to Tracey (AKA The Doctor) and Rod for the supply of the rope holders etc.

Once again well done to all.
Even had a fellow ring me today who was parked in the public display that wants to join our club and he commented on how impressed he was with the setup.
Catch up with you soon.
Cheers. :

Steve.

Thanks for the kind words guys we had a ball getting it all together and we had a great day. From Rod Heather and DR.
It was made even more special for me getting to see my dad again after all these years and I was very emotional about it all. He asked for my address and I said "dad, mate, lets just keep this as our special moment in time" I could see a tear in his eye but he knew that I was right and we said our goodbyes but we agreed to meet next year.
Are you sure you guys didn't arrange this special meeting for me it just felt like that show of this is your life.
You guys are just to good to me.
Thanks
Dr T.

Default Well Done!

Geez, what do i say!? :

There is a list of people here that made the day such a great day that it was.
Some may not know, but the work behind the scenes was HUGE!
We always wanted a "Show" and not a carpark, and well, yesturday we got it! :sm_headba

If i have missed anyone, i apologize.

1) Steve, organizing all the vendor stands for CFC, no easy task and a job well done. Also, thank you for all the help with planing out the cars, designs, and cutting out all those little paper cars!!!!

2) Matt (B-1B), for getting the ball rolling and starting to sort out our display.

3) Dr T, Rob, & Heather. Thank you SO MUCH for making all those stands poles, and powder coating them!!!!! Being able to rope off the entire display for ALL cars, and create a "walk through", was a brilliant initiative. let alone protecting our prides and joy!

4) Stretch, Organizing a house full of gear, and packing up your baby, and getting it all sorted for the day. Setting up all those poles, ropes, chains. Neil for helping with all the posters, signs, and flags. Really made is look the part.

5) Ailsa (Mrs Sucky Sucky), and Cara. Thank you so much for cooking and organizing all that food! Hot tea and coffee, soups, Rocky Road, Fudge, and drinks, bacon and egg rolls, sausage sandwiches all day long really did go down well!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much.

6) Gary S, organizing names and numbers and getting the list together of all the cars.

7) Scott (ShadowXr6T), thank you for measuring, planning, organizing, sorting and helping park all the cars. We only picked it up late, but we did Bloody good. I reckon it worked out a treat.

Finally, thank you to everyone who turned up. All the cars were clean and looked great. Everyone co-operated and was patient while we got you all in and sorted. Also, it was great to have people helping us out and setting up and packing up! Thank you!

We have had many people comment on just how good we looked, and what a good looking display it was, other CFC clubs were put to shame!!!!!! :

Looking forward to another fantastic day next year! :evilking:
Cheers

I can only echo the thanks and gratitude that has been already mentioned.
As this was my fourth outing (shame on me) in just over twelve months, I felt privileged to be associated with such a fine bunch of lunatics and mad hatters, sorry I mean great folks. The enthusiasm and passion by some members of this club is outstanding.
Here is one of a number of shots I took on the day, I will put them on cd and bring to the next club meeting.

Kindest Regards

Paul and Elizabeth

Well two reasons why my taxi didnt make it 1) drank way too much the night before and wasnt fit to drive a car.

2)parts that i got made for car to display at the show hadnt been delivered so i wasnt a happy chapp.

But it was great to see off others how great some of the cars and our display kicked.

CYAS at the tomago run.
