Default Burnout Marks

Hay everybody!

Recently some fool left a nice long burnout mark on our driveway (which is just made of a white concrete), and was wondering if anybody has any tips, ideas or advice on how to go about removing it?

Its a bloody pain, but I would really like to get it removed some how!

Thanks!!

Awesome, thanks! How would I go about cleaning it? I've never had any experience with 'Toluene'. Is it a liquid? Just mix with water and pour it over the mark? Scrub with something? Sorry i'm not really that good when it comes to cleaning things. May seem like common sense, but to me, no way hehe.

Just do more burnouts and make the driveway black.

yes pour it on and scrub with a broom, test a little elswhere on your driveway first, tolulene is what is used to raise the octane in petrol, but it absolutley destroys rubber by melting it, and dont smoke around it!!!

Wow, I'll be wearing some towels around my mouth and nose for this one. Thanks for the help buddy, extremely appreciated!

Any input from others would be helpful as well. I just really hope this Toluene works...

After the toulene, if you can get one, grab a high pressure cleaner as you'll still have areas of black where the toulene has dissolved the rubber. A stiff scrubbing brush will help also.
Toulene can get grabbed from mitre 10 or most hardware shops

Just be warned, some kids like sniffing this stuff to get high so if you see some kids sniffing your driveway you'll know why.

Oh for christs sake, Toluene isnt that bad. Dont be so paranoid.

You will be exposed to it for 15 minutes?

I worked with it for 4 years in a lab. I love the smell :P

If you have any left over, tip it in your fuel tank! :P Dont worry about the rubbers along the way, they will be ok! Watch that tacho fllllllllllllllly!

Toluene is present in unleaded petrol anyway... as is benzene and a lot of other nasty things. Having said that I would avoid inhaling fumes if you can...

Also, I do recall toluene being an ingredient in things like carby and throttle body cleaner. I think in general anything that can and is used in the automotive industry is quite likely to be toxic and/or cancer-causing

Try using said "fool's" *** and Solvol... sure it may not get all the marks off, but at least you'll feel a hell of a lot better.......

It'd probably be cheaper buy black paint instead of tyres.
