ELGT snorkel fits with the fan shroud still in place. These can't be purchased new anymore, but you never know, someone may want to swap for an AU XR8 snorkel ;)

I don't see why people have problems with this, here's pic of mine (just taken) I put it on months ago. Need to take the top of the airbox off and filter out, from here 'force' the end of the intake into the box and make sure it's firm (it will be)then pull it forward a bit and drill 2 NEW holes to hold it down. Mine JUST clears the power steering pulley and does not hit when the motors revved up. It sits firmly with the fan shroud (tho I'll be getting thermo's soon... I'll see how much clearance it's got then... might be able to move it back a bit) You'll need to re arrange the rubber bit on the hood however, just drill a new hole and move it back a bit (again see pics)
Hope this helps any one who needs it. EDIT: LOL at keys making it into the pic, and please forgive the engine bay... it's filthy. On a side note, anyone know where I can get the stickers for the fan belt setup, ignition timing etc and air con? I got the car and all three were missing.. I'm thinking ford spares... but probably $$$$$$$$$$ |

mine definatley didnt go anywhere near fitting
i had to cut about 5cm off the length of the pipe at the airbox to get it to actually fit... i also had to heat it up and make a recess for the ps pump... |

I just remember why mine was so easy... fairly sure I loosened off the bolt (or bolts, can't recal as it was months ago) that are at the bottom of the airbox. I then got the snorkel to hook up to the box, then bolted the box back down into place...
