Default last model RX7 for less than $10,000??

Found this ad for an RX7, its from a few months back.
Surely they're worth more than this?!

Grey import? I remember them running in the James Hardie 12 hour at Bathurst in th eearly 90's. There is one of themin the Motor Racing museum there, with BP sponsorship.

No rego, and the fact that it uses the word 'racing' every 2 words make me think its one of those race track only imports that cant be road registered.

10k is the going price for a series 6 RX7 (pictured) that is a race import only. In order to import a race only car though you have to have a CAMS license, and obviously the car can NEVER be road registered without some sort of dodginess.....

Sounds a bit shifty. The 92-3ish models still go for around 20k+ and the 99+ ones are still 30k+ (all an estimate). As others have mentioned, sounds like something that you can't register, can't be complianced or only for the track.
