so ive just bought a set of 19x8's and ordered tyres. put the front wheels on and the rim hits the front strut and the car is riding on super low springs.

what can i do?

is there a company that can provide a 19" that can fit without major modifications?

You've basically purchased AU/BA Offset wheels.
simplest way is to use Adapters to make them fit, how ever they are illegal, plenty of people are willing to risk it and use them.

the rim isn't the problem, it's the offset.

guarenteed the offset is wrong, and it suited for AU.

its not that hard to find a decent set of 19in in e-series offset.
BF GT now come in e-series offset, but a nice aftermarket rim would have to be the Apaches. they have a bit of a dish and come in black.

i reckon when our insurance is up we will change companies and go for some copies, not worth the risk of spacers, even though there is stuff all for e-series out there that looks decent, i would imagine your insurance would be void with spacers on

Click here for PRE+AU on eBay:- eBay Link for PRE+AU Wheels

Click here for PRE+AU in The Trading Post:- Trading Post Link for PRE+AU Wheels

PS they dont make Copy BA XR rims in 19" only Copy BA GTP rims 19"

thats the thing, their actually a 35 offset, the first thing that i thought it was the offset to suite AU/BA. i placed a set of wheel adaptors on the hub and the wheels were outside the guard by about 3/4 of an inch, and if there was tyres on the wheels they'd still hit the strut.

thanks for your help anyways guys... more than helpful bunch of lads.

Just get spacers, 90% of eseries offset wheels look crap anyway.

Umm.. Correct me if i am wrong but isn't AU/BA/BF +35 offset and Pre AU is +6 Offset..

Which would mean the rims you have are AU/BA/BF.. Are you sure the hub adapters you tried where the correct ones???

Cheers,
Nik
