Default Mondeo and Focus TDCI the same?

Are the Mondeo and Focus diesel engines the same?

Same engine but a different tune I believe. Different power output due to the Mondeo being auto only, while the Focus is manual only.

Have a look at the specifications on the Ford site for exact details. I thing the Mondeo might have a wide torque band, but I could be wrong.

I notice you were asking about towing in the Focus section. I think the Mondeo with the auto box will do a much better job of towing. I tow my jet ski with my Zetec Sedan (2.3 petrol) and the total weight is about 500kg with the trailer, jet ski, fuel and accessories. No problems at all.
