Any chance of a price for the DBA 4504SL/SR and DBA 4505SL/SR for a BF II XR6 sedan N/A please Matt? I have to ask a dumb question as well, why are the front discs smaller in diameter than the rears on the non turbo's? (298mm compared to 303mm). Also what pads do you recommend to go with the above discs, currently use the TRW pads on my XR ute with slotted RDA's.

Cheers,

Nigel

at a guess it's because the non turbos have smaller front rotors than the turbos - the rears are large because of the hand brake drum in the centre

yeah I saw that when looking at the turbo disc sizes but I thought seeing that you do most of your braking with your fronts what was the reason/logic??? : thanks for that.

The rotors are $140 each and i have now listed them on the specials list.
The rear rotors are bigger in most BF turbo and XR8 models as well with a 322mm front and 328mm rear but we have now found some late versions of these along with the FG now runs the 322mm front and the same BA 303mm solid rear which i think is for cost cutting.I don't think you they have bigger rears because of the handbrake as the AU11 and 111 only had 287mm rear discs with the same handbrake and I would like to think the larger rears were to get some better braking out of the back brakes.

If you are using the car for std street driving then either street pad works well in these cars but if you drive the car hard then the performance pads are the way to go but you can run front DS performance and street rear if you wish.

About $45 thanks as it is nearly 40kgs.If Melbourne have the rotors in stock at the time of ordering we can send direct from them and the pads from us to see if that reduces the freight cost.

FYI - If anyone is interested we can organize pick ups from Sydney,Melbourne,Brisbane and in some cases WA as long as stock is available and full payment is made.Brake pads will still have to be freighted.

Hey mate, I'm after new rotors and pads for the rear of my BA GT-P, with 4P Brembos.
I've got 5000 series rotors on the front, is the 4000 series the best I can do for the rear? I also need pads, and would appreciate your advice on the best ones to match up to the rotors. I do only street driving, no trackwork and don't drive particularly hard but want something decent.
Are the 4000s the ones with the gold hubs? I want something that won't rust on the hubs if possible, and the fronts I have are the gold aluminium hubs.

I can pick up in Brisbane if possible, or please quote postage to 4007.
Thanks a lot mate,
Matt.

Are these the ones I need 'DBA 4507A/B SL/SR 330mm rear slotted $215 each'? thanks.

do you stock the DBA 506's? these are the front discs for AUII+ with premium brakes and they were a real PITA to get cos everyone kept selling me the 502 and 504's.

The 4000XS have the gold hubs and are $250 each but the ones on special are the slotted with a gunmetal grey hat.We have the Ferodo Formula pads on special in the rears for $115 a set thanks or we have other pads from $198 (less dusty) thankyou.
Stock of the slotted 4000 rotors is available at the moment so you can pick up but pads will have to be freighted at $12 thankyou

HI Matt,

Im due for Brakes on my BF1 XR6 Turbo ute.
( I believe series 1 have the territory brakes ? )

Anyway, im reasonably happy with the performance of the factory set-up, however wouldnt mind a slotted rotor on the front.

Could you price me up for;
- 4 Rotors to suit ( Front slotted )
- Front & Rear Performance pads low dust

Will be pick up from you @ Wetherill Park.

Cheers,
Chad.

Chad i have quoted you with rear slotted as well but there are no performance pads that are low dust sorry so you will have to go one or the other but if you are happy with the std factory brakes then the street low dust should be fine but the rear pad that suits the larger 328mm disc is still not made in the low dust brake pads that we are offering but can be purchased in the Bendix GCT compound for $70.
DBA 42107SL/SR front 322mm slotted rotor @ $215 each x 2 = $430
DBA 42108SL/SR rear 328mm vented/slotted rotor @ $200 each x 2 = $400
All rotors are $830 plus whatever pads you decide.

Hey mate,

Just wondering what sort of price would you give to replace the discs on a 2003 BA XR6T with the premium brake upgrade? The normal discs are the 325mm(?) swirly slotted discs.

These 325mm performance upgrade rotors were not listed at the time because they had no stock but we can now get them done in the 4000 slotted which will be 1 week from order and will cost $231 each. The rear rotors are just the solid 303mm and are $95ea for street series slotted or $140each for the matching 4000 series slotted.

Yes the pads are good for that kind of driving. As above for the rotors thanks and yes they are the correct pads for the Premium upgrade front for $90 and the rear ones in the same material are $115 a set thanks.

The only rear pad available in a low dust style to suit the vented rear disc is a bendix GCT pad which are $70 and you could run the TRW ceramic in the front for $55.Just check and confirm your rear disc is either 328mm vented or 303mm solid as this will determine the pads you can use in the rear.

Thanks Matt. I'll see what my father wants to do. He's gotta replace his soon.

guys, just remember to get the right pads - I chose the Bendix GCT's to go with the DBA4000's and because of the resin content or something they heat up too much and warp - It's not huge bad warp, only gets bad when they really heat up.

There's a few threads about it somewhere

Should be DBA506 330mm x 28mm and i think it is the C4 caliper which was grey and has two holes for the pad to locate on.

DBA5046B BLK SL/SR - The B on the end of the number is the conversion rotor and without the B is the factory size rotor and either will cost $500 each

The replacement rotors are correct 5046.1 SL & 5046.1 SR and these are $300 each thankyou
