Leave, find some where better.

Tell your tafe what's happening and get them to find you a place.

Vicious accident... by this do you mean intentional or really an accident?

I would be talking to both tafe/apprenticeship board and your boss, and state what you are thinking. Letting it go won't do anyone any good

If he hit you, that's assault and ground for a whole host of dilemma's for him. Were there any witnesses?
Formal complaint to the boss, then workcover/fair trading, or police.
I can tell you that I was "dismissed" for an incident involving something a lot less than that. Don't stand for it. (Incidentally, it was an apprentice that got me fired!)

What have you been doing the rest of the time you have been there.

Your in a hard position, the same as me as well, i am less than impressed with the way my company handled my apprenticeship, but i am so close to the end. finding another company to take on a apprentice who is so close to finishing is a bit hard.

My biggest frustration apart from the way that my company handles us is the fact that in the last 6 months i have been offered 2 jobs one paying 80,000 and the other 100,000 a year and i have had to so no to both of em as i am not qualified yet.

I just got off the phone with a friend who has told me his boss will give me a me a Job, but i need my papers first, but they are 6 months away, You now how ****ing frustrating that is, It makes you want to scream!!!!

if you are sweeping floors and doing all the crap work experiance jobs id leave fgor sure, i know that people will tell you to stick it out so you will be qualified but if you arnt learning anything its time to leave,
Plus its not like it starts again you will still be a 3rd year with another company so id try somewhere else for sure

As for the slap, dont put up with it go tell work cover or whatever, it would be silly to put up with that , and if you dont he will probly do it to another aprentices

mate that is ****, I take it you are a Good apprentice and can do the work of a 3rd year.

get onto the apprenticeship board for sure, how many apprentice's dose the company have.

If you can find another place that will take you on as a 3rd year I would do it, as it sounds like you are just being used a cheep labour and TA'ing to me.
