I asked this a little while ago but did not get much of a response, i have investigated a few tuners but none of them really gave me much assurance they knew the car very well so I stayed clear. Every one I know who has a modded diesel just loves the extra performance but I have not been able to find a company I would trust yet.

If done correctly it should improve fuel economy.

Upgraded intercooler, hi-flow cat-back or turbo-back exhaust, ECU mapping to start...

The mod that I was interested in was just a standard flash tune, a friend had done it on three of his golfs and was quite happy with the results. This thread had some info

www.diesel-power.com
Focus Factory 103 kW 320nm Diesel Power 121 kW 377nm This has config power output for basically every vehicle that has a diesel engine...... Mondeo would be Factory 96 kW 320nm Diesel Power 113 kW 389nm 2.2 probably coming in Mondeo... (drooooooooool) (Or Focus ST TDCi) Factory 129 kW 400nm Diesel Power 152 kW 472nm And they spruik on that site about using less fuel as well.... Edit: Just realised, they are calling both torque figures lb-ft, but the higher number is NM |
