Default Sad day..

Well I need to let something out.. Im not a sensitive person or emotional.person but today I lost my best friend lucky the jack russell only 1yr old to a tiger snake bite.. And my.3yr old malamute is on life support due to the stupid snake.. And my neighbours wont clean up there yard full of cars and iron. And my council wont do anything..

and on the way to the.vet I.cooked my motor due.to. Rushing to put it back together and intake gasket got pinched..

So I lost a dog a engine all in 20mins

Is life really worth it

Sorry to hear about the dogs (im a dog owner too), always a sad moment when one goes.

Have you complained to council in writting?
With this sort of thing you unfortunately need to complain/ ring/ annoy/ at least once a week. Most council have by-laws regarding junk and unkept yards. If so find the relevent bylaw and quote it to them.

Sometimes state laws also come into effect, environmental and health are one, also if there are visible chemical storage, long grass etc... maybe talk to the local fire station and they may be able to declare it a fire hazzard.

Sadly these days YOU have to take any avenue available and then be persistant.

Take photos of the crap... email them to everyone in the council... embaress them for not taking action. CC the local paper, CC the local state member...

I have been down this path with housing commission tenants and a lack of action over the past 8yrs... suddenly after CC the paper, the dept mayor, my local council member, my local state member, the paper some sort of action occured in my case.

I feel your pain dude...... It was just over 1 year ago I had to get our very much loved Rotty put down. October 8th 2011. It's bloody hard. But hang in there.

If the council are ignoring you, find out when the next meeting is and attend it. Put your case forward as forcefully and as civilized as you are able to. If snakes are a problem and they ignore it, then if a young child is biten then they could be liable for a whole heap of trouble.

Soory to hear about your little mate!!
