Not the most ideal prize, but, hey, who's complaining.......
A Holden Viva Now, as much as I hate the thought of having a Holden in the garage at home, im not stupid and a free car is a free car. We have two trains of thoughs here. Our second car is a Suzuki Baleno hatch, its a great car, we havent had any troubles with it, but, its 7 years old now and 110,000kms. We are tossing up between selling the Suzuki, keeping the Viva, or the other way around. Have heard mixed reviews on the Viva and dont wanna get caught with a dud. So, should I keep the new car, sell the baleno and have small $$$ in pocket, or keep the older suzuki, sell the new car for bigger $$$ to play with? I wish I had these hard choices to make more often.......

As a bit of a hobby the mrs. enters a few competitions, started off just winning a few DVD's and CD's, won a couple of holidays, few mp3 players and mobile phones, couple small cash prizes (bout a grand each), a PS2, Xbox, the list goes on. This was certainly a suprise though. Won it through Woolworths (just had to send in two barcodes from their deli section in an envelope), probably entered 10 times all up over the 3 months it ran....
As far as the cash from selling a car, i'd say it will be going towards paying off some debts. hehehe

Keep the viva as its got 20 something storage spaces !
Now , I have been wondering why have so many storage spaces. Its so the yuppies bogans can hide some legally suspect contraband , and hope the coppers get sick of looking in so many places so they give up looking ! hahahaha

Never even knew the Viva name was still going! my first car was a Viva - (Vauxhall) over here.
I'd say keep the Viva & run it until it drops :hihi:

Keep the Viva. New car with warranty > old car without warranty.
And... FREE new car with warranty > just about anything.

A free car is a good car... If you and your partner are happy with the Woo, keep it, otherwise check out a Mazda 2, Ford Fiesta, Toyota Wombat(Yaris) and see how they compare.
If you do sell the Suzi Baleno, PM me. |

Sell the Daeden or Holwoo which ever name you prefer and pay some off your mortgage or use the money to get one. The car is worth more now so get rid of it!!!

I know a guy who won a WRX at Star City. He didn't want it as he can't drive, so he asked the dealer he was supposed to pick it up from to sell it on consignment.
It never left the showroom floor, so it wasn't second-hand, and it cost less to pay the dealer's fee, than he would have lost trading it in, or selling privately. I'm with some of the others, sell the Baleno, and the Viva, and buy a Focus or Fiesta or something.

Congrats on the win. I would say sell the cars and get a Focus or Fiesta. Or then again you may never know when a crowd is going to gather and scream "Viva", in poor taste, and you dont want to be caught with the wrong car, do you? Since this is not going to happen buy the Focus or Fiesta.

Sell car back to dealer. You will get SFA for it but the money can be spent on a holiday or something.

Keep the viva, just for 12 months or so, then trade it in on a focus.
