As the title says, does anyone know how to remove the headrests completely to fit seat covers? They seem to come to a complete stop just before coming out and I don't want to force them. Holding the button in does nothing but allow them to go back in.
Cheers in advance. George

I forget how it is done in the MC, however in the MD there are two (2) buttons that need to be pushed simultaneously to then remove the head restraint. However it could also be similar to my Jetta; it has one bottom to push in, then a small rectangular whole that requires the tip of a flat tip screwdriver to push in. Then remove!
I hope this helps...

On the MC, it looks like there's also two buttons to press. As well as the normal button that's used for adjustment, there's a somewhat hidden button in a similar spot on the other post. It normally sits in, but if you lift the headrest up as high as it will otherwise go, it will pop out to sit flush. You can then press both buttons and the headrest should lift out.
