Hey all, sorry I havn't been posting much on this forum I've sort of moved away from fordforums.com and havn't really got back in to the whole forum thing recently..
Bit of a question. I'm currently trying to sell my old EB as I've upgraded the cars missus went from a Laser to an AUII falcon and I've purchased an old BMW just for something different. I've had the falcon on the website for a while but havn't really got many nibbles.. I'm about to start advertising more in the trader and advertiser. Have a look at the add and tell me if I'm asking a fair price. link fixed :-) Last edited by carazy; 17-02-2005 at 05:22 PM. |

Thanks for the offer to chuck it in the forsale section Rodderz.
I normally wait till I've contributed something to a forum before I put stuff in the for sale section. Cheers. |

Definitely a fair price.
Bonus being a manual. Seriously spend 1 hour on engine bay cleaning, clean rocker cover & around moon seal. it's a bit.. umm dirty Add some tyre black to plastic parts. You're probably the only one that would mind whether it's in the for sale section. |

Heya Michael, long time no see. I've spotted you on the road a few times, but you never noticed me
Are you sad to see the old beast go?? If you could pm me, just interested in some more info such as condition of the bottom end, gearbox, how long ago was the clutch replaced, etc. Cheers Lee

Hey dude,
yeah it has been a while. I am sad to see it go it's been a good car to me but I don't want to run 2 full size cars around (the woman now has an AUII futura) The bottom end is excellent and the bores and pistons were checked when the head was replaced. My mech was supprised to see them in perfect nick after 200,000 and he's been a ford mech for over 20 years. Clutch was replaced about 7 months ago and I have recipts for all the work I've done. I'm pretty happy to simply hold on to it till it sells cause sometimes I drive it around just for the fun of it. Mind you paying rego on 3 cars is starting to annoy the woman! *Edit* Oh yeah gearbox drives perfectly as well. There are no issues with the car at all apart from the fact that I needed a change and the ride height gives a hard ride. Last edited by carazy; 27-02-2005 at 01:21 PM. |

yeah no way am I interested in 2.5k bog stock auto's go for that price.
I think I'll get what I want for it (take a few hundred maybe) problem is most people buying Ea/Eb's want a cheap banger. I'll just hold on to it till I get the price I want. |

Well, no he wont be "lucky". If he is willing to wait, which he appears to be, he will get the price he wants. It shits me when people buy stock cars for a certain price and think modded cars like michaels are worth the same. Just look at the mods including suspension, wheels, full interior trim out of ED, new clutch etc. Try adding that onto your stock auto at 2,800. Youd be way over the asking price 3,800

Thanks for the support Lee,
I have been pretty lazy with advertising it. should probably get off my **** and put in the trader/advertiser. My problem is I like to keep driving it.. One day I take the BMW next I take the falcon. My wife is kicking up a stink about it being there though (wants to spend all my hard earned on the back yard... grumble, grumble. :-) |

Does it come with RWC etc? I'll pass this info on to a work mate who may be interested.

The car is in SA mate so I'm note sure your mate would like to drive back to the ACT.
RWC are not required in SA but it would easily pass one as the car is in perfect working order. |

That's not taking away from the good work he's done on it, but in reality, the market dicates otherwise. An EB with that many km's will be very hard to shift at half the price.
