Default Mayan calendar

What are your thoughts on the end of the Mayan calendar? Many speculate that the Aliens ( Annunaki ) will return December 21. I hope its true, but lets see..... Theres alot of evidence to back up Alien existance however.

Well there is a calender in my house which ends on January 1986.

So going by that Calender we've all been dead since before I was born.

What a load of rubbish.
Its been proven and demonstrated numerous times that humans could/did build such buildings at that time.
As for the Mayans, maybe they just got sick of counting pointlessly into the future and 2012 is just where they decided to stop.
Dont know what your interpretation of the word evidence is either, but it wont be hard to disprove the "evidence" at the end of the year when nothing happens.......

these things ( theories go on every week ) i'm over the Mayan calender , there was a lot of websites saying it ended in 2011 , now 2012 . after that one i'm sure people will give up on the Mayan calender theories .

if your into conspiracies and why this ? how long that ?who made those ?,extinction? where and when did we get here ? why are we here ? and many more questions one ponders though ,
this one is a remarkable STORY . and answers heaps of questions people would ever think of asking , almost a plausible explanation .

i found it very interesting if nothing else . 2 parts , 2hrs each
nothing to do with mayan calander though , but explains how we come up with MYTHS also.
great story .......

Isn't they whole theroy of the world ending based on someones interpretaion of the myan calander in the 80's?

Edit:

From Wikipedia.

Quote:
In 1983, with the publication of Robert J. Sharer's revised table of date correlations in the 4th edition of Morley's The Ancient Maya each became convinced that 21 December 2012, had significant meaning

In other words, this dude (Sylvanus Morley) is one of few who had a theroy about the mayan calander and links to the end of the world.

I dont believe in the mayan calendar but dont discount it either. As for the pyramids, who knows. Watch the documentary Ancient Aliens. Alot of facts. Really good. How did humans back then cut through Granite so precisely? The aliens came and used their technology.

I read the Bible...tells you the beginning and tells you how its all going to end...just doesn't tell you when. And unlike others...You can't beat it's track record..100% accuracy on all Bible prophecies (foretelling the future)...There are 8,362 prophetic verses in the Bible, most of which have already been fulfilled. The amazing thing is that while there have been literally thousands of fulfilled prophecies not once has the Bible ever been wrong – that’s right, it has a 100% accuracy rate, 100% of the time. You can't argue with those numbers....but I'm sure someone will

Very true. Various bibles from many religions also talk about the GOD'S who descend from the stars, and often the drawn pictures indicate some sort of flying craft.

Ancient Aliens. It makes some great valid points that most of us have never thought about.

Pfffft, Yeah Aliens used their super advanced technology to build the pyramids but need to use hieroglyphics (which are pictures) to communicate instead of writing words of any language.

Someone put it to me this way once:

"What if aliens simply viewed us as a tourist attraction. Think about it, why do kids keep ant farms, or go to the zoo, because watching things interact, grow, collapse and develop is facinating... what if we were their zoo animals and we just didn't know it?"

I think I read somewhere that the Mayan calendar didn't take into account leap years so technically we should have been gone a while back

I'm not saying that there has never been life other than us, however, the universe is 14 odd billion years old, humans have been around for say 200,000 years, maybe a bit longer. I reckon the likelihood of other life existing at this exact point of time is slim. Even if it did, the chances that they have somehow developed a way to travel at the speed of light or faster to visit us here on earth is even more unlikely. The nearest star or even galaxy are several light years away as it is.

Like I said, I don't NOT believe, but there are some very valid points that need to be considered.

Seen Charoits of the Gods? Hosted by Al (Richard Karne) from Home Improvement? Right up your alley I think.

God does not exist in the same way as we are led to believe , it is impossible , and as for the bible being 100% accurate , wake up lol the world was not created in 7 days , We can prove the age of this planet , we can prove the bible is WRONG ( or missing key facts ) . As for Jesus supposibly being here 2000 years ago , what another joke , the first recorded evidence of him even being here was written over 60 years after his so called death - there is far more evidence to support alien life and visitations than there is for a god ( i spent 13 yrs in a christian school environment and i firmly believe that this so called god is infact an alien by anyones definition ) , i do not think evolution is 100% correct , something started us off and it wasnt an air breathing fish that crawled out of the sea , our planet is so diverse that thousand must have done the same thing at the same time , and how does that explain tree's and grass and plants in general ( i think they came from asteroids and comets crashing into earth from exploding planets as seeds or they where part of the planet when it was forming billions of years ago ) , the ancient civilizations knew a thing or two and the evidence is still there for all to see and feel , as for god , all we have is a book ( ever heard of Chinese whispers ) that lacks any physical evidence apart from we can trace our dna back to 1 man and 1 woman , but religion fails to tell us that these individuals lived over 50,000 years apart , kinda blows religion out of the water ( no pun intended ) if anyone is half interested look at http://www.youtube.com/user/EvolutionDocumentary ( @ 200 vids on evolution ect.... from BBC to PBS )
ALL MYTHS ARE BASED ON SOME SORT OF TRUTH

Monty Python summed it up pretty well with the last line from their Galaxy song.
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth.

Anyway, who'd want to visit a planet called 'Dirt' ?
