Hi FTF's,
We are planning a Bathurst cruise for Sunday October 27 to celebrate Ford's victory! Meet: Richmond McDonald's 8.00am for a 8.30am start Address: March Street Richmond 2753 Drive to Bathurst via Bells Line of road, some laps of the track, visit and lunch at the National Motor racing Museum. $11.50 per Adult, $5.00 per child, $28.50 per family (2 adults/3 kids) The club is supplying a sausage sizzle lunch, alternately people can bring their own meat or picnic lunch. After lunch there will be time for a few more laps and then we will be heading for home. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to attend and how many people are coming with you so we can cater for lunch. Hope you can all make it, it should be a great day. |

I think I'll be attending, Just not with my Ford, I'll bring my ankle biter...
Might even whack a Ford badge on it to see if it passes undetected!

Just thought I'd bring it up, we may need to think about possibly diverting our route to go via the Great Western HWY, due to the bushfires currently burning along the Bells Line of Road. Maybe meet at up on Factory Rd at Regentville, so its literally just turn left out of Factory Rd, on to Mulgoa, then next left onto the M4 and up the mountain then to Lithgow.

I was also thinking that there may be issues with the bush fires....
Is there a route that we can take, that will avoid the fires, or are we likely run into them, no matter the direction, given the wide spread in the blue mountains? If there is a suitable route, then what would be the preferred meeting place?

We are currently monitoring the fires but given their current locations hinder both routes and the forecast for more bad conditions on Wednesday we are thinking we may need to postpone this cruise.
With all the fire and clean-up activities going on if we don't need to be near this area we shouldn't. We will see how the next few days pan out and keep everyone posted. |

Leave the Great Western HWY for access of emergency vehicles. Also if postpone I may be able to attend on the new date. |

Hi guys,
Unfortunately due to the fires we have to cancel our Bathurst cruise planned for this weekend. We look forward to adding it into our calendar at a more appropriate time. regards, FTF Committee |
