I understand that but if you need a test shouldn't you pay for it at least a contribution either way its clear the system cant continue as it is.

The problem with cutting healthcare and bulk billing is you discourage people from going to the doctors.
Prevention is cheaper than the cure. They're trying to cut bulk billing, healthcare and education because of money problems, but wont lift a finger trying to stop multinational companies from profit shifting and avoiding taxes. I do most of my paid advertising for my business through Facebook and Google and I don't pay GST on either because they're both based out of Singapore. |

From everything I have read it's not about removing the bulk billing for tests, it's about removing the incentives for pathologists to bulk bill. Currently pathologist get approximately $1.50 on top of the test cost to bulk bill.
If there is no incentives they are saying that most pathologists will charge on the day for the service that was previously bulk billed. http://www.aph.gov.au/About_Parliame...ing_incentives |

Obviously not but if you think the working class can keep paying for old peoples health care its not possible if that means less resources for older people close to death or not operating on people who are 100percent in need who knows but its already starting to happen you cant throw money at a black hole forever. |
