Default Driving the mighty XD across Aus for charity

I have entered into the '******* Rally' an XD worth less than $1000. My son and I will drive from Brisbane to Sydney with my son, then my com driver until Adelaide... Then the rally begins!. Adelaide to Ulluru then freemantle 6000 k's all up... Go Ford!

Good work. How much mechanical preparation will need to be done?
Sorry, it's a Ford, probably just change the plugs,oil and air filter.
When you are arrive in Freo some of us Perth guys should make a point of welcoming you.

The idea of this one is to keep it simple they arnt purpose build rally cars like the big dollar variety club bash cars

I love this format

Post heaps of pics and also a link on how to donate to your team
I know I'll kick the can and I recon you'll be surprised at the response form here

I got accepted in to it this year as well, but had to say no as it finishes the day before my son's first birthday. Hopefully should be doing it next year!
Good luck with it and it's a blast apparently. My cousin's husband and brother did it last year - Melbourne to Cairns. Their car (a Mercedes) broke down just outside of Melbourne!
