me? safe?
no i think i'll boost the current engine. most of the mechanical side is done. i'm sourcing a spark ONLY ECU. which will be cheap and easy to tune, parts for that are already on their way. need to get the LPG side of it sorted (2nd tank etc, just coz i want it) then a final tune when its all installed, then hopefully not long after it it'll be emmisions tested and engineered (thanks to rmyers for doing heaps of research on that) don't know when it'll be ready, taking my time due to me needing the car and not having money if things die.

I had no idea you were turbo-ing. That intercooler fits so damn neatly behind that front bar! Can't wait to see it run once it's finished.
So are you looking at gas injection, or sticking with the GRA throttle body? |

Looking, looking very very good. Should be plenty of fun once its up an running.
I think you'll need a High Stall now and strengthen up the auto a bit otherwise it wont hold up for much longer. Would be a good idea to safe guard everything now while its apart and put in a trans cooler as the radiator will not do the job for much longer. Is it gonna be ready for the next cruise? Cant wait. What boost you putting on?

won't be using a high stall to start with.
will look at a shift kit and i've already got a transmission cooler. beyond that i'll be looking at a transmission rebuild, but thats a later problem. won't be up and running for a while yet, few other issues to resolve first, only aiming for maybe 8psi, just wanna get a 13 second pass out of it.

What the COP's don't know won't hurt them. This thing will be an animal.
However - John, you trader!!, you have ditched the N/A club for forced induction.

i couldnt get the wastegate to boost lower than 11psi with the spring thats in it. i was aiming for 8 or so too, you might need to get a new spring made up, or shorten the one in it. |
