Not bad, not bad.
Surely they wouldn't bring out a 1.2L here though? Just seems a little underpowered to me, especially considering the smallest they've got at the moment is a 1.6L. But I could be wrong!! Cosmetically, I like the front, but the back is ugly as. Too high. And the interior looks like something out of Alien vs. Predator. And with a variation of colour choices (purple?!). Should be interesting to see in real life when it comes out. Thanks for the review. Was a good read

I'm liking the looks. Something to look forward to trade in time maybe. Unless I get seduced by the Alfa Romeo Mito. Still a risk of that :P

agree that the back is pretty shocking. I know some people will go on about design having to move forward... blah blah blah. but that isn't the right forward in my mind (think old 3 series BMW and new 3 series = right step forward) or even the mk4 vs. mk5 golf). This looks too... strange.
the driving dynamics sound like they're improved even from the reviews that mk.6's got. 1.4L is about as low as most people in Aus will go... from the euro bunch anyway. |

I still dont like the look of the new model, seen heaps of pics and videos of it and it still looks like a mini-van to me, old model is miles better.
Look at what they've done to the factory (and staff) in Cologne to celebrate the launch of manufacturing the new model http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080717....uilding-banner |

Read somewhere that the manuals will be using the 1.6L and the autos will be using the 1.4L. Is that right?

Wow, dont know what the designer was thinking at the time, but to me it looks like the new fiesta has the front end of a peugot 207, the overall shape of a mazda 2 and the rear of the hyundai i30...
Ford is going on about this 'kinetic design', and fair enough, i can see it in the new focus and FG falcons, and it looks good - but this.... maybe the interior is 'kinetic'. Anyway, still keen to drive one! |

http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/Ar...=56926&IsPgd=0 As for the looks, i dont think it would be my cup of tea, but I'll reserve my judgments when i see it in person two weeks from now at the paris motor show |

I know that, I remember the wait we had for one with the WP/WQs, going back to when I had my WP LX. I'm just hoping they come up with something by the time I'm ready to trade this one in.
