Hi eveyone.
Im hoping to go down to calder park on friday the 18th of feb to race, and id really like to film my runs from inside. What are the rules and regs for doing this, as i have seen a few cars doing this. And what sort of mounts would be best to use?

as long as it's inside the car can't see why it would be a problem. the Camzilla mounts are very good we use them. if u don't have a camera, the Go Pro Hero is a good setup for around $300 comes with eveything. plus full HD quality, we just use it on the dash but u can put it anywhere. video of the quality below

I've run a camera on a camzilla mount off the back window. Been through scrutineering at WSID with it no worries.
A mate runs a GoPRO, again no problems.

I run a GoPro at WSID and on the track and both scrutineers didn't have a problem with it. Mounting it outside the car however, you might need to place some race tape over the suction mounts just for extra security, but I know the GoPro's suction mount can handle pretty high speeds.

I'll be going with the on-site cameras setup in the work ute.
They have a video of a car doing track work with no issues with movement and excellent quality as well.
