Default Rear shock question.

Guys,

As my BA XR8 ute has just turned 100,000kms old I want to replace bits and pieces. Now I am going to get some new rear shocks put in. I have lowered the ute in the rear by 1 inch via blocks and just want to know if I should buy STD height shocks OR "low travel" shocks ?????

When you use blocks to lower the car you move the diff closer to the bump stops and a shorter damper will only reduce the travel even further. As the lower shock mount is pretty much inside the wheel you may be limited to 1.5 inch block with a 18" wheel. We have not used blocks as a way to lower the rear of a ute but using a shorter shock is not the way to go mate if your going to do this mod.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Brett
