Devil R was BAII, not BF. Consisted of a normal BA XR8 in shockwave with red bonnet bulge decals and a few other bits and pieces, no performance enhancements though. The only real issue is finding one with paint that does not fall off, many were affected by the shockwave paint issue.
The other, whose name shall not be mentioned was in envy which was the same spec with a bulge decal with the name that shall not be mentioned. The culprit has now sold himself out to crappy ads getting around in riced up hummers pretending to be against car cruelty, representing the auto shop chain that is more responsible for car cruelty than any other in this country.

On a slight tangent, I saw for about the third or fourth time, today I saw an BA XR8 Sedan by the "other turncoat" V8SC driver. Craig Lowndes. It was decalled up below the XR8 as a "Craig Lowndes Special" & has the BF GT stripes that the lead up the front guards to the bonnet like the old mustangs/new 335GT. It has BOSS 260 in the place where the traditional BOSS 302 stood on the Boss mustangs. Also has the "Craig Lowndes Special" decals below the XR8 badging on the rear doors.
Its black with silver decals, & has a near GT bodykit on it. Is it real? Were they ever built? or just a fan build-up? I know if the CL utes, but have never known of a CL XR8 special

Sounds like a mock up to me, I thought CL only had the ute that came out about the same time as the Rip Curl ute.
I bet he is spewing doing all those mods to now have a holden driver written all over it.

I have a DevilR. As others have said, its a Marcos Ambrose tribute. They made 125.
The differnces from a regular xr8 are leather seats (with devilr emboidery), leather steering wheel, alloy pedals, floor mats, red bonnet things, badges, engine cover, shadow chrome wheels and upgraded brakes. |

Ingall - enforcer, Ambrose - Devilr - can't resist, I'll join some of the other members and say at the time, they were the Ford drivers that got the job done - both championship winning drivers, alas alas how peoples memory's fade very quickly.
I'll also go out on a limb and say that IMO those supercheap adds are rather amusing and the Devilr & Enforcer models at the time, were a rather nice bit of kit - as they were most probably, the last Ford product directed at promoting a Ford championship win. |
