Well with some decent releases such as Kuga and EcoBoost Falcon as well as the existing revamped Ford range, any new Fords on the agenda this year? Or for that matter any car from any other manufacturer?

I have my short list down to:
FPV GT FPV F6 FPV GS WRX STI EVO X I will be looking at either a demo or low km second hand so that someone else gets the initial depreciation. There are so many good cars out there we are really spoiled for choice. |

I was considering a new Mustang or EcoBoosted Taurus-based Police Interceptor, but buying a new vehicle would force me to get rid of one of my current vehicles (three cars in a three-car garage), so I plan on blowing that money on a trip to Australia instead.

Updating in a few months and was certain I was going to go for a Ranger/BT-50 or a Territory. Then went and drove the new Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Hoping to place an order for a Diesel Laredo in a couple of months. |

Probably going to order a black GS ute manual with leather at the end of April. Heart says yes, head says no. Not sure if the s/c 5.0 demands a 20 grand premium over XR6T or SS.

Maybe a new ranger but I really want a f250. That won't be a new 1 tho.

Doubt it unfortunatley. But I am eyeing up the new Focus, maybe in a couple of years. I might end up over at VW though, in a Golf.
Then again a SC GS ute would be nice.........

there is a bit of an itch that could become a scratch...
if i discover the hatch (load area) is bigger on a new focus than on our LS, then i might be seriously tempted. it would have to be big enough to fit luggage for 2 adults and 2 kids in for an interstate trip. thats the clincher. as much as i love my FG, i had to sell my modded v8 to buy it, so if we could make do with a focus as the 'family' car, it would allow me to have another 'toy'. its a long shot, but given my history of only keeping cars for a year or 2, its a possibility. edit - ahh, i see powdered toast man also has his eye on the new focus. best looking one for a few years if you ask me. |

Ordering a Ranger XLT in a month.
Would have ordered a TGT with it as well, but regrettably Ford decided not to make a direct replacement for the superb vehicle that I have now. Will think about its replacement over this year. |

Here's a chance for all the people that posted in the 'why isn't the falcon selling' thread to put their money where their mouth is....
For me I'm holding for the new ST, still not sure yet and it might not be till late this year when it gets here.

If I were buying a new car I'd go for the new ranger. But I need to buy a house so I may end up getting an Explorer instead. |

I have my short list down to 3.
In no particular order (yet) 1. Territory Titanium AWD 2. Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland CRD 3. Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed (maybe VRX) DiD The lease is up on the TTG in June so will wait until then. Just got to decide which current car to offload. May also replace the other one with a smaller runabout for me, we'll see.

Hoping the Fiesta ST makes it to Oz. If it comes in under $30k on road I'll be compelled. The old XR4 was only $25k before on-road. Who knows what we'll get though - I see both 3 door and 5 door ST concepts up on the web with the 1.6 Ecoboost. Mind you I've only seen that Ecoboost released with 130kW - if Ford do an RPE version, or wind it up as much as the 2.0 Ecoboost, then maybe up to 150kW might be possible. A post-warranty flash tune would be on the cards anyway. Pity the 2.0 Ecoboost 'apparently' wouldn't fit (Like the 2.0 was squeezed into the XR4).
I'd be interested in the Focus ST, but I keep hearing that it will be landing in Oz at the $43k mark, which at that price you'd rather go for an XR6T. And if you're going to that size car, you'd rather pick a GS (ne XR8) right? Lukeyson
