Ok, here we go, I know this has been covered before, but when I rev my engine it takes for ever for the revs to drop! I’m thinking it could be the TPS but ford wants $170 for a new one and that’s expensive for something that might be working fine....
So any new ideas on how to diagnose this problem or test the TPS? Its funny I don’t need my cruise control anymore...I just stick it in 4th and relax...it takes for ever to slow down

you can check the voltage on the green wire should 0.7V at idel and max of 4.5V at wot, attach a multimeter and see how fast it registers.

How'd you go?
Could also be the ISC is playing up. Disconnect it and see if it makes a difference to idle. Also you could try spraying some WD40 though it and give it a tap with the back of a screwdriver..... just an idea? |

ISC...... Idiot Sensor Controller? Is that the cylinder looking thing ontop of the throttle body?
Could this rev problem come from the Chip?
