Hi all,
does anyone know if anyone makes orange indicator globes with actual orange glass, rather than just a clear globe with an orange film over it? Where would I find such a thing? FG Falcon if that matters. Cheers. |

My Hilux has orange bulbs but I haven't looked close enough to see if it's a film covering or the actual colour of the glass.

They do make them, only ones I know of are used in Mercedes Sprinters BUT the pins are off set so don't fit into std single filament holder.

Or just go amber led. But check legality and compliance.

Actually....have a read of this. They might actually be ok to use...if you are not unfortunate to live in a state that requires yearly checks
https://www.narva.com.au/blogs/blogs...s-adr-approval I reckon at some point, rules will be updated to allow LEDs, with proper 360 degree diffusers that shine like a halogen globe.

I hate LED globes in places LED globes aren't supposed to go, they don't 'fill' the housing and reflector with light like filament globes do and makes it harder to see out on the road.
OP if it's because the 'film' is coming off the lens, or if they look ugly in the housing you might have luck with Philips 'Silver Vision' indicator globes, they're **** spec silver/chrome coating designed to 'look better' in housings that you can see the globe in - have a set in my Focus which have been in for circa 10 years now without any drama. |

They do orange glass globes we get them at work from Forch https://online-live.flipaio.de/index...hq#page_110054 the globe page is 11/629 | 6424
We just buy from them as they supply all of our automotive clips and as we buy hundreds of dollars worth of clips each week its just easier to get the globes from them, i am sure there are other suppliers of the orange glass globes. A lot of vehicle manufacturers now use orange glass globes and we get red ones too in some of the Euro fog lamps |

Would this work for you ?- "Bulb illuminates bright orange but when unlit appears chrome", so its not an orange indicator bulb that indicates orange. Someone else will know if these were OEM on the Mark 2's I buy em when I get replacement high beam bulbs, and haven't needed to replace one just yet.. Last edited by 383hq; 08-01-2023 at 09:49 PM. |
