Default Sad, but funny and sad again

Saw a couple of thing today that tickled my funny bone.
1. Picture this, Hyundi Elentra, bog stock fitted with a supercheap rear wing that was nearly level with the roof, plastic wheel covers over the original steel wheels, 4 black plastic fake vents stuck on the bonnet, the mandatory 4" fart cannon hanging of the end of the stock exhaust and a Nismo sticker on the rear window, laughed so hard I nearly hit a parked taxi.
2. I was rewiring the lights at the local exhaust blokes place, there was an HR holden up on the hoist, not in bad condition straight body paint a little faded, no obvious rust. Seems that some young kid had just bought it off some old guys who was to old to drive it anymore. I thought to myself nice, some lucky bugger has got his hands on a nice old classic, then I notice what was being done to the old girl, this young kid was having a milo tin exhast fitted. Some people should be SHOT..

Both of those are just so wrong. It's like when I saw a 1980s' Camry with a massive aluminium rear wing. Other than that it looked stock, complete with the factory steel rims. I just cracked up laughing when I saw it, but it doesn't sound as bad as the Hyundai. Around the Clayton area, half the cars seem to be asian cars with a milo tin exhaust. When you see a beaten up old Pulsar, with an exhaust that probably costs more than the car, you cant help but laugh, partically when it just amplifies the sound of the dieing engine.

I've seen a purple Excel with a big ol' T-wing on the back. The thing was rattling around so bad I thought it would fall off. The strange thing was, it was a gorilla of a man driving it... *cough* fag *cough*

Yeah but you need to realise the amount of street cred you get with these 'mods'..

I saw a BA XT in a car park with GT stripes, and when I walked past the back I saw they had even put the GT-P badge on the back of it.

Well I was truly devastated today when I saw an EF with (I you not) a full size, massive Supra wing - you know those double layer ones? Horrendous.

Recently I also saw a green Excel with painted gold highlights.. Including EF XR bonnet vents, stuck to the rear doors!!!

Yup, that's getting really common where I live. What I don't understand is why the guys with genuine carbon fibre bonnets can afford ridiculously expensive bonnet but then run out of cash when it comes time to paint it.

1. Theres a camry sedan around cairns. A 90' model car with the milo tin exhaust, dual bonnet flutes, non-tinted windows, dragon decals up the sides, touring car wing, but it does have low profile 17 or 18" wheels...

If you want to spend real money on a car, but a real car to begin with!

2. There is an ED running around up here that has every bit of extra aftermarket trim on it possible, anything you could possibly tack onto the outside of the car was on there. It looked like the car was owned by a miner bird.

3. There was a BA xr8 in the dealer when i took my car in this morning, it was dressed up with the GT body kit and badges and some crappy aftermarket wheels (it even had FPV... plates. It fooled me until i looked at the interior, which had the base stereo and XR seats.

Is it bad, that I want a AWC BA bulge bonet to go on my XR6 ute?

Out of all the rice out there the one that offends me the most are those full body-kitted Excels with the stupid T-wings on the back and drony fart cannons. ALWAYS driven by some muscle bound gym freak of a man. Wierd.

Now there's a coincidence. Around here lately there is a current shape dark silver Camry with pretty much exactly what you described - big decals along th sides, chrome wheels, milo tin and wing. Even spotted some TRD logos on it last time i saw it.
And it has qld plates.
