Hi guys
looking to upgrade my calipers on my mk2 Cortina. Are then mk2 Cortina struts brake mounts the same as the mk2 onwards escort? Also looking at some of the wilwood kits available out of pommy land, would like to get a hold of there adapters they use to fit the larger spacing wildwood calipers like these http://www.burtonpower.com/parts-by-...8726-m16m.html would much prefer to buy local if possible can anyone point me in the right direction Thanks

Hi crispy
From what I hear, the MK2 Escort brakes will go on the MK2 Tina struts as this is what I am doing on my Anglia. The standard Girling M16 calipers with discs and pads apparently do an excellent job. This is the set up on my RS (vented discs) and they are great. Be careful on which Willwood calipers you go for as some are rated to 600 or so kg. Additionally, I have read that the Willwood contact surface isn't always as high as the M16s. Have a look at this thread for lots of info to confuse you even more. I am a bit lost with it all myself. http://105speed.hyperboards.com/acti...topic_id/12973 Whilst it is an Anglia forum, they are talking about MK2 Tina struts (mostly). Let us know how you get on. Gerard

There is a Volvo 4 pot caliper that is a fairly common conversion on early escort/cortina models. You can run a vented rotor with this setup also.
