ECHLIN oil Filters..Are they any good?

I have been given a brand new "ECHLIN" oil filter (Interchangeable with the Z9) for my AUII by a neighbour who was going to use it on his AU V8 Monty until he sold it. Has anyone used them or have any info on them please?

I'd hate to put it on and find that it didn't filter the oil properly etc.

yes mate know of the brand for the last 15+ years. You'll be fine.

Easy to look up the brand to tell me it's a brand of filter, but it doesn't tell me what the people who have actually used it, think of the Filter, their experiences of its' shortcomings or its' good points. I don't want a stuffed motor through ignorance of using a product that is not up to par.

Why ask here for help if all you can get is "Google is your friend"..I thought members of the AFF were also my friends, apparently not by your response. Thanks all......
