Default E Series Dyno Tune

I have an XH XR6 with the below mentioned mods (signature) and i am looking at getting the car dyno tuned. At this point in time the car has only been tuned by my normal mechanic, who i might add installed all my parts. A few things i am wanting to know is...

- how long on average will it take to dyno tune.

-what sort of things do they adjust/playwith.

-how much difference/gains will the tune make.

-and has anyone else had a tune on a similair car as my setup.

Any feedback would be appreciated : thanks guys!!!

ther is not much you can really do apart from adavnce the cam and or the timing via the dizzy or the cam gear if you have an adjustable one. by doing that you must run permium unleaded or for just a bit more advance on timing you need to run bp ultimate oe mobil synergy 8000 a 98 octane petrol, there is a noticablt gain in power but in rwkw im not sure of the gains.

What chip/ECU are you running? Depending on the setup you'd budget for at least 3 hours tuning, did the dyno shop tell you this?

You need a chip or aftermarket ECU to adjust the fuel and timing maps, this is basically what a dyno tune is....

but its possible to give it a little more oompf with an advance of the timming and some higher octane petrol, but thereis no real need to have it on the dyno for that.

without a vernier gear and an aftermarket ECU dyno tuning a MASSIVE ****. It's funny to read people who say "i had XXX fitted and got it custom dyno tuned."

Best you could do with a stock ECU is to run it on a dyno and advance the timing a tiny bit.

well my mechanic has allready advanced it to some degree, but what your telling me is that its probably a waste of time travelling over an hr just to put it on a dyno and not really do anything of great value, right. Without an aftermarket chip that is of course!!!

yeah thats wat they are saying mate so save up and get a chip or a full engine management system then go get it dyno tuned. u can still run it on a dyno to see wat results it gets though.
cheers josh.
